Happiness Therapy Center has become a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), a designation granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES)to organizations whose staff have completed autism-specific training and certification program through IBCCES.
“Having the designation of a Certified Autism Center™ in Denver, allows us to truly show our competency and dedication to serving children with autism. It is very important that we are a Certified Autism Center™ because it separates us from other private practices that have similar treatment therapies for children,” said Kali Henderson, owner of Happiness Therapy Center.
Happiness Therapy Center (HTC) offers a variety of traditional therapies such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, nutritional support and social skills groups as well as holistic options. HTC takes pride in offering up-to-date and comprehensive assessments, evaluations and therapy services. Its specialists also understand the emotional stress parents undergo when having a child tested or diagnosed, and that is why parent education is an integral part of HTC.
“We are excited to work with Happiness Therapy Center to build upon their team’s expertise and ensure they have specialized training so they can continue to help as many children as possible,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman. “Our evidenced-based programs will help their team enhance their ability to assist individuals with autism and other cognitive disorders.”
For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with clinical experts and individuals with autism in order to provide professionals serving individuals with cognitive disorders a better understanding of what these disorders are, industry best practices, and the latest research in these areas.
IBCCES also created CertifiedAutismCenter.com, as a free online resource for parents that lists certified locations and professionals. Each organization listed on the site has met Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements.
