At Hideaways, we have a number of lovely holiday cottages right across the south of England and many people choose to enjoy Wiltshire cottage holidays with us year after year. Our cottages in Wiltshire are particularly close to our hearts as this is where the Hideaways story first began.

Based from humble beginnings from a little office in Wilton, Elisabeth Woods first created Wessex Hideaways in 1973 when holiday cottage lettings were just beginning to emerge. The beautiful county of Wiltshire was the ideal place for us to start our new holiday idea, with plenty of inspiration to be found right on our doorstep.

We have gone from strength to strength since then, and we can now offer a number of beautiful cottages with both character and distinction in many counties across the South of England, including Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Sussex. We have continued with our initial principles for all of our cottages, ensuring that we know all of our properties inside out and have personally inspected all of them.
