GMN Aerospace receives The Boeing Company’s inaugural 2015 Excellence in Advocacy Award

GMN Aerospace was honored with Boeing's first ever Excellence in Advocacy Award for supporting policy initiatives that have helped to advance the aerospace industry.

Today, GMN Aerospace received the 2015 Excellence in Advocacy Award from The Boeing Company at their Global Supplier Conference morning business meeting. This was the first time that Boeing presented this recognition and only 35 partners of Boeing were selected.
The award was given to companies who went out of their way to support policy initiatives that influenced the aerospace industry. Companies demonstrated advocacy in a variety of ways including participating in Boeing’s WDC Fly-In’s, engaging employees in letter-writing campaigns, and participating in district office meetings with elected officials.
As a result of these advocacy efforts, the recipients of this award have guided policymakers to make decisions that strengthen the aerospace industry, protected U.S. jobs and manufacturing, and promoted businesses throughout the aerospace industry’s supply chain nationwide.
GMN Aerospace has been partnered with Boeing for 60 years. During that time, GMN Aerospace has taken measures to support Boeing and the aerospace industry as a whole through efforts such as local lobbying for the continued growth of jobs and the aerospace industry in Washington by testifying on targeted growth initiatives. GMN Aerospace has been actively supportive on a national level as well by providing hands-on mentoring to universities with supplier diversity mentoring, and working to enhance legislation supporting aerospace in California, Oregon, and North Carolina.
