Girish Kumar Navani (ENG’91) is pleased to announce his commitment to support the Campaign for Boston University. The gift, made in collaboration with eClinicalWorks, will go to the Bioengineering Teaching and Entrepreneurship Center Fund (BTEC), which provides support for the building and operating costs associated with the new BTEC facility.

As a result of the gift, made possible through the generosity of eClinicalWorks cofounder and CEO Girish Kumar Navani, a state-of-the-art BTEC suite will be named the eClinicalWorks Digital & Precision Medicine Design Suite.

“BTEC will revolutionize how our highly ranked Biomedical Engineering department teaches its students about synthesizing technology and data science with biological and health data, all to improve human health,” said Kenneth Lutchen, dean of the BU College of Engineering.  “Indeed, we are on the cusp of a revolution in healthcare, and to lower healthcare costs and improve quality, we need to educate and support future bioengineers to lead the way. We will be proud to have the eClinicalWorks name on our Digital & Precision Medical Design Suite, and we are very grateful to Girish for his strong support and vision.”

A College of Engineering alum (class of 1991), Girish Kumar Navani has remained active at the school through his work on the Engineering Leadership Advisory Board. In 2014, as the honorary speaker at the College’s convocation for graduating master’s and PhD students, Navani commended the students. “Milestones like the one you are experiencing right now remind us of the paths we have taken and present us with a road to the future,” he said.

“I discovered my passion for technology when I was a student at Boston University, and my experiences shaped the rest of my career. And I recognize today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow,” said Navani. “I am committed to supporting the BTEC, to assist the entrepreneurs of tomorrow in pursuing their passions to explore innovative ideas to improve care outcomes.”
