The Adventure Company has a long heritage of running adventure tours to off the beaten track destinations, two countries featuring in their geography school trip line up for 2014 which exemplify this are Nepal and Namibia. Nepal was host to one of our first trips back in 1996 and since then has become one of our most popular destinations. Known for the mighty Himalayas and with over 250 peaks, the country is an exciting destination for a geography school trip, with wild rivers, high mountains and wide flood plains in Chitwan National Park the country offers incredibly diverse landscapes and the chance to study features close up. Our Nepal geography trip also gives students the chance to meet local people at a youth leader project we support, we will also spend time at a farm on route to the Annapurna range where we will learn about the farming techniques used in this remote harsh environment.

In complete contrast our Namibia geography school trip focuses on desert environments. The dry conditions supports a surprising amount of life and whilst the countries human population may be sparse it is just as diverse, we will get the chance to spend time with the local Himba tribes people. From deep canyons to towering sand dunes, dramatic rock formations and vast salt plains Namibia is a Geographer’s dream location!
