“Helping Los Angeles’s Mountain Lions: An Update on the Liberty Canyon Crossing”, May 14, 7:00–9:00 PM
On May 14, 2015, The G2 Gallery will welcome California Director of the National Wildlife Federation Beth Pratt-Bergstrom and National Parks Service Biologist Jeff Sikich for a fascinating talk on the famous P-22 mountain lion and the future of a wildlife crossing at Liberty Canyon.
Timed to coincide with G2’s popular Getting There: A Wildlife Crossing Over the 101 photography exhibit, the talk features two of the foremost experts on the mountain lions of Los Angeles – Pratt-Bergstrom and Sikich. Sikich, who captured and collared L.A.’s most famous cougar, P-22, will speak on the state of cougars in the Santa Monica Mountains and the work being done to save them. Pratt-Bergstrom will talk about the #SaveLACougars campaign and how the general public can get involved in the push to build a wildlife crossing in Liberty Canyon.
