Fusion PPT Appoints Mark Cavallaro Chief Operating Officer

Fusion PPT, a recognized strategy and technology consulting firm, announced today the appointment of Mark Cavallaro as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this new role, Cavallaro will oversee business operations and support the development and execution of the company’s strategic vision and continued growth.  In addition, he will be responsible for overall service delivery activities for civilian, Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence clients.

Cavallaro brings over 16 years of federal, commercial and not-for-profit experience with a focus on leading large-scale, technical programs of high complexity and risk. Most recently, he was responsible for the management of multiple, high-profile initiatives for EMC Corporation’s Global Service Provider Program, focusing on go-to-market partnerships and strategies for private and hybrid cloud solutions.

Prior to his work at EMC, Cavallaro spent seven years in a senior government role running business and technical operations for a federal agency’s cloud computing program. This highly transformational program was mandated with overhauling how critical application hosting services and data management solutions were delivered to core missions.

Earlier in his government service, Cavallaro served as a senior program manager leading the development and deployment of a system of integrated, enterprise applications to automate essential management functions of a global telecommunications network.

Cavallaro also spent seven years as a systems engineer and program manager at MITRE, a not-for-profit organization that partners with the government applying systems engineering and advanced technology to address issues of critical national importance.
