Permanent Ability maintains a media value that is incomparable to the dime-a-dozen cliché bands found in Los Angeles. Backed by legendary producer Jim Wirt, Permanent Ability’s name is a testament to their capacity within the music industry.
The band was launched in 2008 and their energy, sound, stage presence, and ever-growing fan base even caught the attention of George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic’s bassist Lige Curry. With their sophomore disc gartering industry notoriety, the band’s collection of work is a tribute their personal music influences from Led Zeppelin to LL Cool J.
From the Womb to Hollywood was the band’s first disc /ep and debuted in 2008. Bring It On! debuted in 2010 and helped the band achieve status as ―Best Band of the Week‖ by RockItOutBlog.com. Bring It On! was produced by Jim Wirt. Wirt’s other clients include No Doubt, Incubus, Hoobastank, and a list of other pillars within in the entertainment community.
Permanent Ability’s current media value is comprised by notable sound bites, clippings, and social media highlights from respected media sources, such as Scion, Pandora Internet Radio, and Rockstar Games (Rockband). Their collection of notable venues include The House of Blues Los Angeles, The Viper Room, The Roxy, and the Whisky A Go Go.
With east-coast roots, Permanent Ability has established their brand of funk-rock music within the Los Angeles scene. The band is launching a full media junket to ensure their distinctive sound, and viable industry brand, are made available to qualified press outlets.
On February 2nd, 2011 Permanent Ability made their presence within the entertainment industry even more concrete by hiring JumpStart Ink to handle all of their media relations. JumpStart Ink is one of the most respected independent publicity agencies within the industry, having clients who have recorded, and performed with, Bon Jovi and John Popper. The company also has had a Grammy winning client and bands who obtained feature songs in national films.
