Glen Spose, legendary Roman fashion atelier in Italy, presents the new 2017 collection of formal dresses and wedding gowns and is already looking ahead to 2018. Glen Spose, who has worked with women and stylist Paola Stramucci for over eighty years, celebrates modern feminine beauty with his many facets, and has always kept to the tradition of fully tailored dresses hand made by expert embroiderers in Italy.

The new collection suits the modern woman, all the while keeping in touch with Glen Spose’s classic high Italian fashion. The refined and elegant collection is being presented for the first time in the enchanting Brancaccio Palace, one of the most beautiful noble palaces in Rome.

This is where Paolo Stramucci, creative soul of the atelier, gets his inspiration from: a deep understanding of what his brides want and how to translate this taste into tulle, organza and chiffon until it is encapsulated by their hearts. Dreams are transformed into reality in the Roman atelier thanks to an entirely Italian production, fully tailor-made by expert seamstresses and embroiderers who are constantly checked at every step of the creative process and where only the finest fabrics are meticulously chosen.

Glen Spose’s new collection of wedding gowns is characterised by exquisite fabric, such as pure silk, adorned with the best French lace.

The variety of models – from flowing gowns to short gowns, from short dresses with redingote skirts to mermaid silhouettes – is even more enhanced by a particular attention to detail, synonymous of continuous research and innovation, like exclusive embroidery made with Boemia crystals, Swarovski and hard stones.

Women’s dresses are tailor made to fit any size to enhance the wearer’s personal characteristics.

Wedding gowns can be made short, long, white, cream or in other shades with [sentence doesn’t finish].

The concept of versatility is modern: many models wear removable over-skirts or mantilla veils, attached at the sides, almost like a shrug. There are various ways to wear the same dress to get the full experience on the special day.

Lastly, hand-made accessories complete the outfit by giving a touch of class: shoes and bags, made of the same fabric as the dress; undergarments, precisely tailor-made to suit the bride’s physique, and precious hair styles with tiaras, hairpins, combs, little flower buds and roses made of refined silk.

In the atelier, there is also a line of haute-couture formal dresses and coktail gowns: creations with more striking colours like coral, blue cobalt and old rose which focus on evergreen models like sheath dresses or tailor pants, but are minimized by sought-after details: cloaks made with contrast or inlayed with silk or crystals, to attract attention when light flickers off it.
