FreightCenter® announced today that it has expanded its freight service offerings to include cross-border and intra-Canada transportation. The new offerings consist of customs clearance services, improved less-than-truckload rates and transit times, and more carrier choices.
Earlier this month, the company reached an agreement with Canada-based customs brokerage, Willson International, which helps shippers prepare required paperwork and process duty fees for customs clearance between the U.S. and Canada.
When booking a shipment to or from the U.S. and Canada, FreightCenter customers can choose Willson as the preferred customs broker or choose their own. Although customs clearance procedures are handled by this third-party, the partnership with Willson allows for a seamless cross-border shipping process.
