Franciscan Sisters invite young adult Catholic women discerning consecrated life to a special retreat experience or vocation visit designed especially for them

A young professional may be at a more decisive point in her life than someone in college. Sisters respect the experience, perspective and gifts of those with who have had professional responsibilities while still young adults. Talents and background in a variety of areas, from health care to education to IT skills, may be part of God’s plan for you in a Franciscan ministry.
Next retreats are April 19 or 26 but sisters are flexible to explore other times that work better with the demands of a busy but possibly discerning young professional. Arrive at our N.E. Wisconsin Motherhouse in time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Evening Prayer or by 5:30 p.m. for dinner with postulant and novice Sisters. A talk on Discernment of Spirits follows, with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. You’ll have the option to stay overnight or the weekend until Sunday.
A Retreat can be a insightful and inspiring step forward in moving from discernment to action in following God’s will. Honest soul-searching questions about Franciscan Life and a calling as a consecrated religious are most welcome.
Contact the Sisters with your questions, hopes, preferences, and expectations for your own Discernment (and your friends if they’re interested). You can informally tour their historic Motherhouse; witness daily community life; see firsthand how Sisters serve in education, music, health care and parish ministries and/or shadow a Sister in her daily ministry. Or contact a sister nearby you at one of our mission sites in the United States for a vocation conversation.
