Former New York Giants safety Landon Collins announced today that he’ll be hosting the third annual Landon Collins Celebrity Softball Game at Palisades Credit Union Park in Pomona, NY on Saturday, June 8th. The softball game, which will donate a portion of proceeds to the non-profit St. Christopher’s, will pit current and former New York Giants against one another in an offense vs. defense game. Collins will captain the defensive team of players while former Giants running back, Brandon Jacobs, will be captain of the offensive team. Both teams will be comprised of greats from Super Bowl XLII and XLVI champion teams as well as players from the current roster.

Players from both iconic teams will participate with a portion of proceeds benefiting St. Christopher’s, based in Westchester, NY, that helps women and children in need. Collins is also expected to hand over the baton for the annual celebrity softball event to a current Giants player for next year (since he has signed with the Redskins).

New York Giants fan favorite, Joe Ruback, aka License Plate Guy, came up with the idea for the event, and after approaching Collins about it at the Pro Bowl in January 2016, got the green light to proceed. Now, it has become an annual event in its third year. “We are so excited to bring together a group of incredible athletes and our community for a fun-filled night again – all to support a great cause that helps at risk adolescence in need,” said Ruback.

The night’s activities will include a dodgeball game, a homerun derby and then the celebrity softball game where the NFL pros will take their shots at swinging for the fences. The parking lot will open at 1pm; gates open at 3pm; the dodgeball game starts at 5pm; homerun derby starts at 6pm and this year is a split-game of softball and kickball, which will begin at 7pm.

Stadium tickets are $30 with VIP seating available for $150 to $1,050 (which includes field access).

All tickets are available at www.landoncollinsgame.com.
