Cloud hosting pioneer Infinitely Virtual today announced that it has named longtime IT executive Scott McDonald VP of Sales and Marketing. McDonald, who joins Infinitely Virtual from Internap (INAP), will be based in the Greater Boston area.
McDonald brings to Infinitely Virtual 15+ years of cloud hosting sales and leadership experience, with such solution providers as Expedient Data Centers, NaviSite, NTP Software and Cogent Communications. At INAP, he held sales management positions from 2016 to 2019, and was a member of the cloud leadership team, responsible for New England and the Canadian cities of Toronto and Montreal.
With expertise that spans multiple disciplines — including Infrastructure as a Service, virtual and dedicated cloud hosting, managed hosting and BareMetal hosting — McDonald will assist Infinitely Virtual customers in optimizing their cloud strategy and in shifting their workloads to the company’s secure, cost-effective cloud platform.
