F4 Foundation Director Volunteers Aid In Wimberley

Director of a community restoration based organization travels to Wimberley, TX to assist in cleanup following the aftermath of Blanco River flooding.

Robert Krasawski, Director of the F4 Foundation, a charitable community-restoration organization based in Boulder, Colorado, volunteered time in Wimberley, Texas to assist in cleanup following the events of the Blanco River flooding during Memorial Day weekend in 2015.
Record rainfall caused the Blanco River to flood, destroying homes and the community, and killing twelve people. F4 Foundation’s Robert Krasawski had never heard of Wimberley but became interested in volunteering there after reading an article gathering volunteers to clean the community from the flood. Robert arrived at Wimberley, Texas on June 18, 2015 and met with Team Rubicon, a disaster relief organization. He spent three days removing trash and debris, gutting mobile homes, and undamming streams alongside volunteers.
Following Robert’s involvement, the F4 Foundation continues to raise awareness about the disaster effects in Wimberley by posting photos of his time spent there and encouraging affiliates to volunteer. “We did a lot, but there is a lot left to be done,” stated Robert Krasawski, “The devastation in Wimberley was far greater than pictures can show. Words can’t accurately describe what an awesome experience it was to just do something.”
“I’m no longer sore,” Robert stated after he returned to Colorado, “I’ve had plenty of showers and the scratches have gone away, but the memories I have will last forever and the people of Wimberley Texas will always be in my prayers.”
