The area around Everest gives you the chance to meet the wonderfully hospitable Sherpa people and offers up challenging treks and spectacular views out over the very high, rocky, surroundings. The Annapurna region is somewhat of a contrast, with its lower altitude trekking routes being more varied in difficulty, the terraced farmland, forests and pastures in the area make this region particularly beautiful; it’s a great way to get a taste of rural Nepal.
