Epic Elopement, an intimate and adventurous wedding planning company, is launching a $1,000 scholarship offering for female students pursuing higher education in the United States. The scholarship’s focus is on inspiring and aiding the next generation of female entrepreneurs. Having been founded and run by a female entrepreneur — this is Epic’s opportunity to help inspire other young females to start a business of their own!
According to Score.org, 40% of businesses in the US are run by women and just a couple of years ago the number of female owned businesses was growing by 21% year over year. To that end, Epic Elopement is looking to continue to inspire and financially support, that progress with the next wave of potential female entrepreneurs. Epic’s scholarship is available to female students studying any major at any US-based college, university, or trade school, as small businesses can start and grow in any industry and from people with any educational background.
Founder Emily Reno hopes to help other young women who may be considering starting their own business or who have not yet considered it but are passionate about supporting other female run businesses. “If I can do it, so can they! I want to help be a part of their journey because it’s certainly not easy to make it out there and a supportive community of female business owners is so important to lifting each other up!”
The scholarship is now open for applications through September 1st, 2022 with an award date set for October 1st, 2022.
