ENDTIME Records is announcing the release of the newest music single by Malickhi, #Social Dictum, a hip-hop gospel rap track in collaboration with recording artist Damu. The track drops on May 14, 2021 on all major streaming platforms and on www.malickhi.com.
Malickhi says the song is both social and spiritual. “The lyrics spell out the perilous times foretold of throughout both ancient and modern-day history,” he says, “It is prophesied that the end-of-days would usher in global pandemics of epic proportions and that there also will be wars and rumors of wars with earthquakes in diverse places.”
Malickhi, a 36-year veteran of the music industry, says he distinguishes himself from other rappers on the scene by expressing his influential message not only in his lyrics, but also in his approach and demeanor. Specializing in the gospel rap genre, his influences include greats such as James Brown, Andrae Crouch, BeBe Winans, Michael Jackson, and Prince. He’s also enjoyed the music of Tupac, Biggie, Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC, and Jam Master Jay.
Malickhi’s first single, I Don’t Know, was charted in the College Music Journal. He describes his next track, God Will Let It Go, as a “masterpiece of the inner structure of a rapper’s soul.”
“I continually strive to deliver profound and prophetic messages in all my music,” he says. Damu is a 32-year music industry veteran, who’s been strongly influenced by the Fat Boys and Rick Ross. His popular tracks include Elevate, which was released in 2020. Damu says his goal is to influence young people through his music.
