East Texas Funk Artist Gimp Jones Dedicates Debut Album “Guitar Session” to His Grandfather, Guitarist George Jones Jr.

Gregory Jones a.k.a. Gimp Jones inspires people to choose love and walk by faith in his East Texas Funk debut album Guitar Session. In dedication to his grandfather, George Jones Jr., Gimp Jones’ latest record encourages guitar players who might be hesitant to create music to get out and perform. The Texas native shares how his life changed when he found his gifts and decided to put out music after some encouragement from a friend. With funky guitar riffs and a soulful sound, Gimp Jones shows the transformation that can happen when you believe in God and allow him to use you as a vessel.

As a Navy Veteran, Gimp Jones has struggled with anxiety, but the creation of this album was very therapeutic for him as he was able to write out his feelings and express himself. Every song on the record has a deeper meaning and connection to a point in his life. Gimp Jones takes listeners on a journey through the aftermath of his divorce and how his fire was reignited when he rediscovered his love for guitar. In the midst of the pain, he chooses to live a healthy productive life for his children and for himself. Gimp Jones reminds everyone that “life is beautiful” when you believe in yourself and embrace what you are equipped to do.
