Driving Successful Lives, together with a local Highland Michigan Save A Lot Foods and owner Steve Girjis who contributed over 200 bags of dry goods containing various items, fed the homeless, hungry and humble this Holiday Season. In addition, Mr. Girjis Donated turkey and ham at his own expense to personally make sure those in need of food did not go hungry. The recipients of the food items over the holiday season into the new year include the local Highland Fire Station, White Lake Presbyterian Church, Sobriety House, Detroit, LakeRidge Village, Detroit, Turing Point, Pontiac, and two other churches in Troy and Royal Oak.
“I love to give” said Steve Girjis, owner of Save A Lot, Highland Michigan. “ with the blessings of the good Lord, we cannot forget those who don’t have food this holiday season and always throughout the year. I am happy to help and because everything is given in the name of charity it makes me more excited to know we are doing good deeds“.
Driving Successful Lives provided over 200 meals this holiday season with the help of local grocery store owners such as Save A Lot and our non-profit charity continues to serve the community with food donations throughout the year.
About Driving Successful Lives
Driving Successful Lives’ mission is to facilitate car donations so that veterans, homeless families, children, those with addictions & other non-profits can benefit from fellow citizens giving-forward.
Every time a person gives to the charity of their choice it may also create a tax benefit for them. The money, the items, and the real property that they have donated to non-profit institutions throughout the tax year may be tax deductible which means that they could end up being the difference between a good tax return and a great tax return. Depending upon the kind of donation and the type of charity or foundation that they chose to donate to, the tax deduction it creates could be very helpful for reducing the amount taxes that they owe. Many successful and wealthy people state that at least to a certain degree, a part of whom they are and what they have become comes at least in part from the practice of giving. Contributing to charities can be a very convenient way to reduce taxes.
