Doing the most good in times of Need.  Driving Successful Lives, a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit continues to help in times of need and has established a food pantry for children who need lunch items and food during the current and challenging times.  By donating items to the Calvary Christian Ministries, the charity was able to contribute snacks for over 100 packs going to children and families in need.  “Little things go a long way” said Jessica Allos, who was responsible for gathering little luxuries of snacks for children who go without in order to create packs for families who simply do not have extra cash at this time.

“Some families have to choose which items they can afford at a grocery store and often do not have extra funds for coffee, bottled water, chips, cookies or “non-essential extras” for their pantry.  People often take these things for granted and Driving Successful lives was able to organize a generous donation of various goodies that brough a smile to the faces of those who came to collect the packets along with fruit, vegetables and meat products donated by other retailers in the Troy, Pontiac and Royal Oak areas.

Left over items were disbursed to other agencies who host programs and support those in times of need while adhering to the socially distant rules currently in place.  Driving Successful Lives supports local community programs and has been instrumental in providing food and other items during the past seven months to veterans, homeless, refugees and transitional housing agencies.

About Driving Successful Lives

Driving Successful Lives’ mission is to facilitate car donations so that veterans, homeless families, children, those with addictions & other non-profits can benefit from fellow citizens giving-forward.

Every time a person gives to the charity of their choice it may also create a tax benefit for them. The money, the items, and the real property that they have donated to non-profit institutions throughout the tax year may be tax deductible which means that they could end up being the difference between a good tax return and a great tax return. Depending upon the kind of donation and the type of charity or foundation that they chose to donate to, the tax deduction it creates could be very helpful for reducing the amount taxes that they owe. Many successful and wealthy people state that at least to a certain degree, a part of whom they are and what they have become comes at least in part from the practice of giving. Contributing to charities can be a very convenient way to reduce taxes.
