Driving Successful Lives, a Michigan-based national non-profit, recently followed through on a recipient’s request for funds to repair a vehicle that was received from the charity. After receiving quotations and donations of time to fix and repair the vehicle, Driving Successful Lives gave an additional $400 to the recipient of a Sunfire Vehicle in order to fix and repair parts (battery/brakes/rotors) so that she would be able to have working transportation for her job. “What we do makes a difference in people’s lives and we are so happy to be able to share the donations with those who are trying to establish themselves after the wake of adversity” said the Director of the Charity. “Transportation and reliable transportation that is safe is something that our organization strives for when donating vehicles that we have received from the kindness of other’s.”
This payment was humbly requested from a woman in Iowa who faced some life challenges and was unable to get the vehicle repaired without assistance. When the organization is able to salvage cars that are donated and still have life and promise left in them by just repairing parts or giving them a mechanical makeover so they are suitable to drive, the Charity always reaches out to find a way to do this. Sometimes the vehicles just need a bit of love and care and some repairs and then reliable transportation can be given to the welcoming recipient.
Driving Successful Lives is a 501 c 3 helping Veterans, Women, Displaced Families and others who are less fortunate. The Charity accepts donations nationwide and also provides food, clothing and shelter.
About Driving Successful Lives
Driving Successful Lives’ mission is to facilitate car donations so that veterans, homeless families, children, those with addictions & other non-profits can benefit from fellow citizens giving-forward.
Every time a person gives to the charity of their choice it may also create a tax benefit for them. The money, the items, and the real property that they have donated to non-profit institutions throughout the tax year may be tax deductible which means that they could end up being the difference between a good tax return and a great tax return. Depending upon the kind of donation and the type of charity or foundation that they chose to donate to, the tax deduction it creates could be very helpful for reducing the amount taxes that they owe. Many successful and wealthy people state that at least to a certain degree, a part of whom they are and what they have become comes at least in part from the practice of giving. Contributing to charities can be a very convenient way to reduce taxes.
