Dr. Christina Jeffrey selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by IAOTP

Dr. Christina Jeffrey, Writer, Speaker, Educator, and Senior Researcher of the Year for 2020, was recently selected as an Empowered Woman of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for 2021. Her exemplary role as a female professional and volunteer displays her influence, capability, and dedication.

With over 40 years of professional experience as an Educator, Dr. Jeffrey has demonstrated success in continually learning and bettering herself all while helping others. She has dedicated countless years as a Senior Researcher and since retirement from full-time teaching has served as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science for various universities. She has a truly impressive repertoire of prior roles, including two campaigns for Congress.

Throughout her remarkable career, Dr. Jeffrey has been recognized worldwide for her dedication to her profession and has received numerous awards and accolades. Dr. Jeffrey was the recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award given by Marquis Who’s Who. Over the course of her career, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the American Society for Public Administration and was appointed Historian for the U.S. House of Representatives 104th Congress. She was appointed to the Alabama Women’s Commission and xxxxxx  served on the Alabama Governor’s Commission for the Year of the Child. As a young scholar, Dr. Jeffrey was named as an “Outstanding Young Woman of America” for 12 consecutive years,  named a Richard M. Weaver Fellow by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and was a National Defense Education Act Fellow for three years at the University of Alabama. As an undergraduate, she was awarded the J. Otis Carney Scholarship by the University of Plano, and a full scholarship from Vassar College.  She earned her MA  in Political Science and Ph.D. in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from the University of Alabama. Her latest endeavor with The U.S. Allegiance Institute will educate the public about the meaning and importance of key clauses in the Constitution, especially those that have been neglected beginning with Article II, Section 1, Clause 5.

Looking back, Dr. Jeffrey attributes her success to her parents’ emphasis on the importance of education, a supportive husband, and wonderful mentors who have encouraged her in all her endeavors.  In her spare time, she enjoys her family, traveling, and swimming for sport. For the future, she hopes to continue to educate and inspire others to pursue a career in this field.

Always eager to help and passionate about others, Dr. Jeffrey also finds time to volunteer for various causes and organizations close to her heart, including raising money for the Library at Emerald Mountain Christian School, “Children’s Security Blanket”, and St. Paul’s Catholic School. She is an Executive Committee Member of the Spartanburg County Republican Party, the President of the South Carolina Association of Scholars for 20 years, and twice president of the Spartanburg Executive SERTOMA Club. Dr. Jeffrey is also the President of the South Carolina Association of Scholars and Regent of the Battle of Cowpens Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
