Doublie, home of a popular iPhone app that allows users to remix images and create their own memes on the go, today announced the hiring of Editorial Director and Senior Copywriter Brad Cook, who previously worked as a contract copywriter for Apple, Nuance Communications, Message Systems, and other companies.

Cook graduated from Rutgers University in May 1992 and relocated to northern California that summer. He was a part-time freelance writer during the 1990s before becoming a full-time corporate copywriter in 2000. He will use his many years of experience to build Doublie’s meme-centric content, including data analyses, round-ups, and definitions.

“Brad Cook’s deep experience and breezy writing style will serve our content needs for many years to come,” said Doublie CEO Shane Walker.

“I look forward to diving in and creating a site that anyone interested in memes will want to visit on a regular basis,” said Brad Cook.

Doublie leads the way in mobile remixing of social media while on the go. The company has raised $1.7 million from early investors in YouTube, Uber, Facebook, and Twitter.
