Launched three years ago, DIY Plans offers step-by-step shed construction plans. The idea behind the site is to provide customers with plans for building sheds on their own. Having steadily grown over the years, DIY Plans proudly announces their philanthropic initiative to donate a portion of their profits towards GM1 Gangliosidoses research.
GM1 Gangliosidoses is a disease caused by a lack of beta-galactosidase that results in the destruction of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Cody Burdett and his partner, Guy, were both introduced to GM1 Gangliosidoses because of a family member that was diagnosed with the disease.
“As of the present, there is very limited knowledge about GM1 Gangliosidoses. It is a unique disease that needs more attention. By donating a portion of profits from downloadable shed plans, we hope to contribute towards successful research about this disease. Through our collective effort, may we be able to find the answers to this degenerative disease,” says Mr. Burdett.
