DFW Rocks Social Media Day Conference Welcomes UK Attendee – We are NOW International!

Exciting news! The DFW Rocks Social Media Day Conference is going global. Over the weekend an attendee travelling from the UK registered for the 2014 Social Media Day Celebration!

Lissa Duty, conference organizer has been boasting that attendees from around the U.S. have been registering for the 2014 conference and she was not kidding. Lissa confirmed earlier “According to the registration information, attendees from California, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Dakota, Mexico City and now the United Kingdom to name a few will be present.”

Lissa’s goal with the 2014 DFW Rocks Social Media Day Conference on June 29 & June 30 was to attract a national audience. She never dreamed of attracting an international audience in the same year. Lissa is ecstatic to say the least.

She credits this success not to herself, but to the speakers’ willingness to share the news about the conference with their network, the continued support of prior years attendees, and support of local groups and sponsors.

Advice Interactive Group, a 2x Inc500 digital marketing firm with international clients in the area of web design, SEO, PPC, content creation, and social media has been a tremendous help. Advice Interactive’s on-staff event planner is working with Lissa to spread the word to corporations around the DFW Metroplex about the conference.

NosalCentral, an Internet marketing firm that serves business owners in the Dallas / Fort Worth and beyond built the DFW Rocks Social Media Day Conference website. The founder, John Nosal, will assist Lissa in managing the support team at the conference, in addition to being a speaker.

When asked what her secret was, Lissa responded: “I first focus on selecting quality speakers and garnering the support of the community. Then I contact industry experts requesting they donate door prizes, such a Scott Stratten, Jason Falls, Erika Napoletano, Jessica Miller-Merrell and many more.”

Lissa continued by saying “After I do this, I then set out to market the conference online … not as much about registering, but who is speaking, the prizes that will be given away, and recognizing those that support the conference. By doing all of this I am marketing the conference in a way that creates curiosity, generates clicks, comments and shares, which equals registrations.”

If you Google Social Media Day 2014 or Dallas Social Media Conference 2014 you can bet the DFW Rocks Social Media Day Conference will appear on page one. Lissa encourages everyone that she knows to register and the earlier the better. With only 20 days remaining time is running out!

Lissa closed out our conversation by saying “One person tweeted last week, ‘attending DFW Rocks is like a 2nd homecoming’. That is what it feels like for all of us. We have became great friends online and this conference is our annual reunion.
