The online magazine 300Magazine is pleased to share the latest news from Denis Leon Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida. The gallery is now hosting a new art exhibit by the NYC-based artist Artem Mirolevich, titled “Mothership.” It is a solo show featuring Mirolevich’s latest works created during his ongoing participation in American Landmark: Artist in Residence program in Plantation, Florida. “Mothership” runs at Denis Leon Gallery through February 24, 2021.
Artem Mirolevich was born in Minsk, Belarus in 1976. He moved to the United States at the age of 17 and soon entered the School of Visual Art in New York to study illustration. Artem Mirolevich also spent a semester at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Inspired by the architectural and cultural landscapes of both NYC and Amsterdam, the young artist started to produce original artworks in his very own style that would become his signature for years to come. Artem Mirolevich’s art is often called a portal to other mystical worlds and meta-civilizations, where his imagination is completely set free, and where hope and doom co-exist in an unusual form.
Being a trained illustrator, Artem Mirolevich has a high skill for extreme detail, which allows him to create mind-blowing images of otherworldly places and people, each telling a visually beautiful surrealist story that is impossible to break away from. Some of Mirolevich’s latest works are now featured at his solo show “Mothership” that runs at Denis Leon Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida.
“Mothership” is a result of Artem Mirolevich’s participation in American Landmark: Artist in Residence program that provided him with a well-equipped studio and apartment to allow the artist to dedicate all his efforts and time to self-expression. The art exhibition features a series of paintings, collages, drawings, and etchings, each telling an amazing story of otherworldly adventures. The highlight of the exhibit is “Mothership,” a large oil on board work depicting a floating metropolis from another world. Floating ships actually appear in many pieces by Artem Mirolevich, including his impressive work “The Return of Venetian Fleet” featuring a UFO hanging over Venice.
Among other highlights of “Mothership” exhibition are the mysterious painting “Kabbala’s Heart” inspired by esoteric teachings and his work “Third Eye Elephant” that depicts a goodhearted giant elephant among UFO-shaped buildings, carrying the world on its back.
“Mothership” is a must-visit event for everyone who loves original artworks. Artem Mirolevich has created a whole new world filled with imagination, dreams, and surrealist tales. The art exhibition runs at Denis Leon Gallery and is open to all lovers of high-quality contemporary art through February 24.
