Typography Celebration Presented by AIGA San Francisco, CreativeLive and TypeEd Begins December 1
San Francisco, California (PRUnderground) November 27th, 2014
AIGA San Francisco, CreativeLive and TypeEd will be kicking off December by celebrating Two Days of Epic Type on December 1 and 2, 2014. The typographic celebration will span two days.
On the first day, designers from the creative community across the nation will be designing logomarks along with eight graphic designers chosen from the Bay Area’s creative community. The first day will begin on Dec 1 at 9:00am at CreativeLive’s studios and be widely broadcast on the company’s Art & Design Channel. Thousands of designers have already reserved their spot to watch the free live broadcast of “Logo Design: Wordmarks with Michael Stinson.”
On the second day, 15 local designers will participate in “Whisky Type,” a private workshop session designing whisky labels with typographic harmony held at CreativeLive’s studios, at 444 De Haro Street, Suite 208, San Francisco, CA, 94107 and presented by AIGA San Francisco. The workshop event is $100 for AIGA members and $130 for non AIGA members.
Two Days of Epic Type events raise awareness of the need to create clear communication for efficient reading and emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing letterspacing among wordmarks and creating readability through hierarchical systems. The sessions will build personal connections and benefit the design community.
