The Phlebotomy Department at Dayton Children’s Hospital is the first of its kind in the nation to earn the Certified Autism Center
“Our team is honored to be recognized as a Certified Autism Center
In addition to the CAC certification, Dayton Children’s offers a variety of specialty services including pet therapy and music therapy. And the lab and child life teams utilize other tools and equipment to find ways to make patients feel more comfortable whenever possible.
“IBCCES is proud to partner with the team at Dayton Children’s Hospital to help improve outcomes and experiences for autistic patients and their families. This program complements the team’s existing expertise and we’re excited to see the phlebotomy department continue to ensure all patients can receive the care they need,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman.
For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with clinical experts and autistic individuals in order to provide professionals better understanding of how to communicate and interact with individuals with cognitive differences or sensory needs, industry best practices, and the latest research in these areas.
IBCCES also created CertifiedAutismCenter.com, as a free online resource for parents that lists certified locations and professionals. Each organization listed on the site has met Certified Autism Center
