Illinois trial attorney David Cates was recently named an “Emerging Lawyer” in the Metro East Area of Southern Illinois by Leading Lawyers and will be recognized for this prestigious accomplishment in two news publications in Summer 2021.
Leading Lawyers—a peer-recommended distinguished attorney resource in Illinois—chose Cates to be an “Emerging Lawyer” due to his demonstrated experience and commitment to advancing the law field. For attorneys to be named “Emerging Lawyers,” their peers must have identified them as being among the best Illinois attorneys who have practiced law for no more than 10 years, or who are 40 years old or younger. In addition, the attorneys must be Leading Lawyers members.
Leading Lawyers plans to run a two-page-spread advertisement featuring its “Emerging Lawyers,” as well as its “Leading Lawyers” (top attorneys in Illinois) in the Illinois Business Journal in July 2021. It will then run an ad featuring Cates and other winners in the Belleville Chamber Connection in August 2021.
Cates said he is humbled by the “Emerging Lawyer” honor and is excited to continue to meet the needs of his law clients across Southern Illinois.
