Recognized for their expertise in one-of-a-kind graphic design and printing projects, Craftsmen Industries, Inc. is a leader in large format and custom projects for companies, museums, and non-profit organizations nationwide. They are proud to partner with the City of Edwardsville, Great Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau, and Creative Options Graphic Design, Inc. to create stunning graphics that celebrate the history of the West End Service Station. Built in the 1920s, the station is a landmark in Edwardsville, and the graphics commemorate the station’s rich history and help visitors appreciate its significance to the community.

Since its founding in 1982, Craftsmen Industries, Inc. has established itself as a trusted partner for businesses looking to create unique and impactful visual displays. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on utilizing the latest technology, the company produces a wide range of custom products, including vinyl signage, commercial fleet graphics, architectural signs, and custom trailers tailored to each client’s unique needs. From design to printing, Craftsmen Industries, Inc. remains a trusted partner for businesses looking to create custom solutions that help them stand out in their industry.

“We are honored to be a part of this project, celebrating the rich history of the West End Service Station in Edwardsville, IL,” said Mark Steele, CEO and Co-owner of Craftsmen Industries, Inc. “Our team of experts worked tirelessly to ensure that the graphics accurately represented the station’s historical significance and importance to the local community as well as travelers passing through on Route 66. This is another great example of ‘Ideation to Creation, FAST!’ where our client had a clear idea and vision that we helped turn into a reality. Utilizing our state-of-the-art printing technology, we made these graphics to stand the test of time and educate future generations about its rich history.”

The graphics installed at the West End Service Station include matte vinyl images and informational text. This matte finish reduces glare and improves readability in the well-lit service station. Gloss stand-offs contrast with this matte finish and draw attention to important information and images. The finishing touch is the black and gold vinyl on the main doors, which employ modern printing technology to mimic the traditional gold leafing.

“The final product met all of our expectations and looks exactly as designed. No surprises,” stated Sherrie Hickman, Graphic Designer and President of Creative Options Graphic Design, Inc. “The install crew was professional and very pleasant to work with. Craftsmen’s recommendation of material and install approach enhanced the overall concept and was key to its success.”

In addition to custom printing projects, Craftsmen Industries, Inc. designs, engineers, and fabricates custom for clients in a variety of industries. Past projects have included custom promotional vehicles, medical vehicles and trailers, and experiential marketing solutions.
