Broadly speaking the county is split into three main areas, each offering something a little different
North Cornwall
North Cornwall offers up the best of the seaside resorts, with famous beaches such as Newquay and Coastal Portreath being famous for surfing and bodyboarding. The region also has a number of famous towns, such as Padstow and its impressive seafood restaurants and harbours. If you’re after a little history Tintagel is the destination to head to, with its Arthurian links.
West Cornwall
West Cornwall is home to some of Cornwall’s most iconic locations. The artistic community in St Ives is popular with those looking for a little culture and stunning scenery. If you’re after even more dramatic scenery, a trip down to Land’s End and the Lizard is a great idea, with views out over the Atlantic. Finally if you just want a true ‘Cornish Experience’ you can head to the traditional towns of Penzance and Falmouth.
South Cornwall
South Cornwall is one of the lesser visited parts of the county, making for the perfect destination for a quiet escape. The South has a number of popular attractions, including the stunning Eden Project, along with famous towns like St Austell and Truro.
