Cingari Family ShopRite, the family-owned and operated Connecticut-based company, announced today that its Executive Chef, David Cingari, has been named the winner of the Supermarket News 2023 Foodservice at Retail Innovator’s Award. Each year, the Foodservice at Retail Innovator’s Award spotlights forward-thinking brands and individuals doing amazing things in grocery foodservice and prepared foods.
The Supermarket News Foodservice at Retail Innovator’s Award recognizes Chef Cingari’s ability to combine his passion for food with a commitment to providing customers with the highest quality products and services. Under his culinary leadership, Cingari Family ShopRite has become a destination for area customers seeking fresh, delicious meals and exceptional customer service. The family owns and operates 12 ShopRite locations across Connecticut.
Chef Cingari himself is well-respected in the Connecticut area, with over 30 years of experience in the food industry. As Executive Chef of Cingari Family ShopRite, he has set a new standard for food service. His innovative approach to menu creation has earned him numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, such as being named the Recipient of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce Company of the Year award in 2009 for his premier catering company, David’s Soundview Catering. The Supermarket News 2023 Foodservice at Retail Innovator’s Award is his latest win.
