CFY (Clearwater For Youth, Inc.) kicked off the new year with a $20,000 grant award issued to the Dunedin Fine Art Center that will fund participant scholarships to select youth programs offered by the organization.
This unique grant is the first award illustrating the expansion of CFY’s funding opportunities, formerly exclusively offered to youth athletic organizations. As of January 1st, the CFY Grant Program now includes an Arts & Culture Registration Reimbursement category that will facilitate access to programs like those offered at the Dunedin Fine Art Center to a greater number of children enrolled in Title One schools across Pinellas County.
“CFY is excited about our new partnership with the Dunedin Fine Art Center. CFY is committed to providing access to all children regardless of their financial situation. These funds will assist in significantly expanding DFAC’s capacity to do outreach and double the number of children who would not be able to access the fine programming both after school and in summer settings at this world class facility,” CFY Chairman, Fred Miller.
Programs to be impacted by this grant include the Summer Art Academy, Wheels on Wheels, and After School Art Classes. The center expects enrollment to increase across the 3 programs by 80%, 52%, and 119%, respectively.
“On behalf of all the children who will benefit from CFY’s wonderful generosity, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunities they are giving to our community. It is wonderful that CFY has extended its good service into the Arts and we are thrilled that our youth education program was chosen.”, President and CEO of Dunedin Fine Art Center, George Ann Bissett.
