BritAsia Academy Launches Bootcamp to Boost Local Job Prospects

Industry: Advertising & Marketing

BritAsia Academy are proud to launch BritAsia Bootcamp. The bootcamp will train candidates in Digital Skills to increase their employability and future job prospects.

London, UK (PRUnderground) February 15th, 2022

BritAsia Academy are proud to announce their new project, BritAsia Bootcamp, in collaboration with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). With Covid-19 putting the world at a halt, the job market has never been more uncertain. As a global platform with creative media at the centre of their hub, BritAsia Academy have the resources available to support the public to embark on a digital/media career.

Offering a 3-Month Digital Upskill Bootcamp with both practical and theory-based training, BritAsia Academy will provide training in the following areas: Graphic Design, Programming & Web Development, Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Project Management, Editorial & Journalism, Event Management, and Production & Filming.

Tony Shergill, CEO of BritAsia TV, said: “I have been in this industry for over a decade and have found that there is an abundance of skills to learn from media. From content creation to production & filming, having a team with a varied skillset is vital to the success of a brand. With the Covid-19 pandemic creating uncertainty around jobs in an already over-saturated job market, we feel that it is necessary to provide training for those affected to increase their value in the job market. BritAsia TV has always been a platform to support new and fresh talent and is recognised by industries from both the private and public sector, as the leading TV channel UK and globally.”

Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands and Chair of the WMCA, added: “The digital sector will play a critical role in our region’s economic recovery from the Covid-19 lockdown. Digital is the ‘golden thread’ across many of our key industries, including the creative sector, and is also a fast-growing sector in its own right. It’s crucial that we give local people the skills they need to weather the current economic situation, by funding high-quality digital training programmes like the BritAsia Bootcamp.”

BritAsia Academy’s 3-Month Digital Upskill Bootcamp is now open to applications via www.britasia.tv/academy. Apply today to gain both practical and theory-based training in the challenging, yet exciting world of media.
