Book Driver is pleased to announce a new book donation drop-off point at Coyote Ridge Books in Broomfield, Colo. People who want to donate a few boxes of books but would prefer to drop them off instead of getting a free pick up, can now do just that. Coyote Ridge is located at 1480 Midway Blvd, Broomfield, and books can be dropped off between 11 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Saturday.

“Working with bookstores is a core part of growing our book donation network,” Matthew Johnson, CEO of Book Driver said. “We have a growing network of home based book drivers but existing bookstores and libraries play an important role in what we are building.”

To celebrate the partnership with Coyote Ridge Books, the two organizations have teamed up to put together a July 4th weekend book sale. Thousands of books will be on sale for $2 or less. There will also be a special on sending books to military bases/APO’s.

The book sale will run Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th from 8 AM to 4 PM, in the parking lot of Coyote Ridge Books.

“We are excited to be working with Matt at Book Driver. We are the only independent bookstore in Broomfield and an outdoor book sale like this is a great way to build awareness about our store and support a good cause, “ Don Hartley, Coyote Ridges’ owner, said.

Coyote Ridge offers book credits that can be applied to a chosen area school when you trade in books. It also tries to stock books that appear on local school reading lists.

Book Driver provides free book donation pickup’s currently. Ninety percent of books are donated to local causes while a portion are sold to support FirstBook, a national literacy organization, as well as operational and administrative costs.  Johnson encourages bookstores or libraries that would like to participate, to contact him.

“Book people naturally come together to discuss books and we provide a platform to encourage that. Bookstores and libraries need to stick together and work together, to strengthen the local book economy or we’ll all just be on Amazon in ten years,” Johnson said.
