Author Christy Greene Releases Illustrated Book for Kids the Timely “Ms. Rona Virus You Better Run!”

Licensed Therapist and Author Christy Greene saw a need to encourage children to have hope, be brave and take safety precautions in the face of the coronavirus. The result is her high energy new book “Ms. Rona Virus You Better Run!”, illustrated by Nehemiah Carter.

There’s no doubt at all that the coronavirus can be something that’s frightening or confusing for kids. They hear information not intended for them and then are expected to follow hygiene methods that they may not quite understand. The good news is, children’s author and Licensed Therapist Christy Greene is here to help. Christy recently announced the release of “Ms. Rona Virus You Better Run!”. The new book educates kids in a fun way that inspires courage about the coronavirus, while also showing safety precautions that are simple to follow. “Ms. Rona Virus You Better Run!” is illustrated by Nehemiah Carter, a 13-year-old 7th grader, who is also an up and coming artist who specializes in children’s books. Her artwork “Grandma’s dressing” was recognized by the Howard County, Maryland Arts Council.
Nehemiah is a native of Decatur, Alabama. In addition to her many talents in the arena of Arts, she enjoys singing, dancing, and cooking. The excitement surrounding the new book from parents is high
“I saw a real need to talk to kids about coronavirus in a way that makes them feel comfortable,” commented Christy. “My new book also gives families a way to bring up the virus to their kids and make sure they aren’t being super frightened and keeping it a secret.”
Past children’s books from Christy include.”Bye Bully Bye”, a book that teaches the importance of treating everyone equal, the value of standing up for what you believe is right, and forgiveness; “I Can! I Will! Try and Stop Me if You Can!”, a poetic story to inspire readers to believe in their dreams in spite of life challenges and skeptics. Book also includes a dream planner; and “The POW Peakaboo Prayer Angels”, a book that encourages children to pray and that by doing so they will receive blessings.

About Christy Greene
Christy Greene grew up in Madison County, VA. She attended Madison County schools and graduated in 2005. While attending, she struggled with an intellectual disability and was placed in special education classes. Christy was bullied for being in special education by her peers. Christy often went home and cried in her closet, and would hide in the bathrooms to go to her special education classes after the hallways were clear to avoid being taunted. Christy has defied the odds, obtaining her Master’s Degree, and is currently a Licensed Therapist, Author, and Youth Ministry Leader. In addition to her many talents, Christy enjoys Snorkling, swimming, and traveling around the world.
