Antioch Clinic Provides FREE Statewide Telebehavioral Health Services to Covid-19 Frontline Workers

The Antioch University Seattle Community Counseling and Psychology Clinic is providing no-fee counseling and therapy services to Covid-19 front line workers throughout 2020. The Antioch Clinic is a graduate student training facility for counselors, therapists, and psychologists in training, supervised by licensed professionals. The Clinic offers individual, couple, family, and creative arts therapy, with special attention to understanding multicultural differences.

“These uncertain times can exacerbate mental health challenges for everyone, especially those working on the frontline during the pandemic,” said Doug Wear, PhD, Clinic Director. “Our student therapists are trained in a variety of clinical psychology and counseling techniques and will consult with you to identify the best approach for your situation.”

To help all those affected by the pandemic or otherwise facing financial challenges, the Antioch Community Counseling and Psychology Clinic is also offering a special, low fee, sliding scale, which begins at $0. The fee, based on household income, will continue through 2020.

“Although we are just one Clinic, we have a statewide reach and want to help as many people as we can,” added Wear. “We encourage anyone feeling stressed and overwhelmed to contact us.”

Frontline workers, for the purpose of this program, are the subgroup of essential workers that have been called on to meet our basic needs during the pandemic who cannot work remotely and thus typically work in person with the public. Frontline workers can include, but are not limited to, healthcare workers, protective service workers (police and EMTs), cashiers in grocery and general merchandise stores, production workers, food processing and service workers, janitors and maintenance workers, agricultural workers, and truck and delivery drivers.
