Andrew Roby Lands on Event Planning Industry’s “100 Most Influential People” List

Founder and CEO of Washington DC-based event planning firm ends the year on a high note as one of just 43 US planners chosen for Eventex’s prestigious annual list. The list was selected by 20,000 event planning professionals from around the world.

Eventex announced the 2022 awards for the Top 100 Most Influential People in the Events Industry, and DC-based event planner Andrew Roby is among the renowned recipients. The index recognizes industry professionals who consistently leave a mark on the event world with their “creativity, vision, and capacity for innovation.” Roby’s continual dedication to his clients and reputation for creating “immersive experiences” is recognized by yet another award.
Roby is an Army Veteran who launched a black-owned event planning company in 2005 after serving his country. He is known as a renowned “event storyteller,” who communicates his client’s unique stories and personalities through beautifully executed events. Roby also founded the National Events Council to help encourage racial equality in the events industry.
Founded in 2009, the Eventex Awards are now the most esteemed award program in the world of events and experiential marketing. Approximately 20,000 event professionals voted on the awards list, nominating 454 professionals. The list was then narrowed down to 100 finalists from 22 countries. Roby was one of just 43 finalists from the U.S.
Roby said he is honored to share this award with many elite executives who make the events industry what it is today. “This award is the cherry on top of a successful year of hustle, hard work, and happy clients.” Fellow finalists hail from major companies such as PCMA, BizBash, Kenes Group, and Haymarket Media Group.
