American Sentinel University will join the nation in celebrating Constitution Day today, Sept. 17, to commemorate the day the U.S. Constitution was signed 232 years ago. American Sentinel will recognize this significant event with a week-long celebration that includes a Constitution Week web page, internal presentations, and a gift card drawing for students and alumni.
American Sentinel recognizes these activities as a celebration of our mission statement, which calls on us to provide students an opportunity to enhance their civic lives.
“Constitution Week is a great time to be reminded that America was founded on shared principles and liberties that every American enjoys and holds dear,” says Mary Adams, President at American Sentinel University. “We use this week as an opportunity for students, alumni, faculty and staff to come together and reflect on our shared history, freedom and heritage.”
Constitution Day (formerly Citizenship Day) commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. It is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens.
