American Sentinel University and Colorado Hospital Association named Bryce Clark, Process Improvement Lead, Quality and Patient Safety, with Children’s Hospital Colorado, as a Colorado Health Care Star Award winner. This award recognizes Clark as an exceptional health care professional.
Colorado Health Care Stars is a statewide health care professional award recognition program sponsored by American Sentinel University and Colorado Hospital Association. The program was launched in February 2015 to acknowledge industry professionals in Colorado who exceed expectations in the delivery of health care.
Clark has worked in the quality and patient safety department as an improvement lead focusing on patient safety initiatives for the past four years, where he successfully led numerous safety initiatives. Clark became a Tableau expert on his own accord and used tableau to redo how the safety culture survey results were posted and shared in an interactive format for unit leaders to assess their results in various views and with filters by role and other characteristics. Clark is now the clinical manager of medical inpatient units.
“His commitment to excellence with data resulted in him being invited to teach the use of data to drive performance locally and nationally at several conferences,” said Daniel Hyman, M.D., Chief Medical and Patient Safety Officer at Children’s Hospital Colorado. “He also presented at Children’s Hospital Association’s quality and safety leaders meeting as a semifinalist for the national quality award.”
“Clark went above and beyond his role and used technology to improve processes,” said Michael Rickart, Vice President of Partner Engagement for American Sentinel University. “Technology and data is truly the future of healthcare and we applaud Clark for his efforts. We’re thrilled our partnership with the Colorado Hospital Association allows us to honor his achievements.”
