Put A Cup In It, an organization whose mission is to advocate and educate about reusable menstrual products, is recommitting to its core mission and looking forward to the future.

They announced today that Kim Rosas, co-founder of Put A Cup In It, has decided it’s time for a change and is leaving the organization. She is credited with co-developing Put A Cup In It’s innovative quiz, as well as building Put A Cup In It’s social media presence and finding fresh ways to engage with the community to help bring more awareness to menstrual cups.

“I cherish my time with the PACII community and the positive feedback from thousands of cup users. I will always be an advocate for menstrual cups, and I can’t wait to see how the community evolves,” said Kim.

“Kim Rosas is leaving Put A Cup In It having made a significant contribution to the menstrual community,” said Amanda Hearn, owner and co-founder. “I am grateful for her dedicated and heartfelt work over the past five years and wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors.”

Though the leadership team will be different, Hearn says Put A Cup In It is moving forward in the same direction and with the same mission. Formed in 2015, Put A Cup In It offers a broad base of resources about reusable menstrual products. The focus of Put A Cup In It is to teach people who menstruate what a cup is, how to use it, and how to make the process of making the switch as easy as possible.

Hearn says she first learned about menstrual cups when she became an adult, and it was pivotal for her. “I found out what was in the products I had been using, and I was angry that no one had educated me about my options.” Put A Cup In It aims to help fix that. Moving forward, Hearn plans to forge collaborations with other advocates in the menstrual health space, and share their work in the realm of menstrual education and advocacy.
