As a direct result of this year’s COVID pandemic, Advanced Weight Loss Centers in Westbury, NY, started providing online coaching in order to continue servicing its established clients.
Considered “non-essential,” the 8-year old business was unable to provide regular, in-person weight loss services from March 22nd through June 16th as they, along with countless others, were forced to temporarily close their doors.
Frank Anderson is founder and owner of Advanced Weight Loss Centers. “Many of our clients were concerned about emotional eating while being stuck at home and under significant stress,” he said, “I knew we needed to create an effective way to help them continue their weight loss journey despite these uncertain times.”
By communicating with clients via, text, email, telephone and Zoom, the coaches at Advanced Weight Loss Centers were able to keep their clients on track and losing weight despite the lockdown. In fact, through the use of technology, the level of service for the clients actually increased due to the ease of accessibility to online coaches. Questions that were once answered at weekly, in-person sessions could now be handled the same day.
As a direct result of the enhanced support, client outcomes were greatly improved across the board. The results were so good that Advanced Weight Loss Centers has now launched a new, worldwide coaching program that aims to help overweight women and men lose weight and inches without giving up the foods they love.
“Through the use of technology, were able to deliver a more effective, more affordable, and more accessible program for people all over the world,” says Frank.
Although it is estimated that one-third of all small businesses in New York and New Jersey were forced to close their doors this year due to the COVID pandemic, Advanced Weight Loss Centers managed to thrive by successfully adapting to a changed world with new and improved services.
