Fairfield Inn & Suites Chincoteague & Chincoteague KOA Offer Free Beach Trolley Service for Guests

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chincoteague Island, along with Chincoteague Island KOA, has launched an exclusive trolley service for its guests.  The trolley, which is the first and only one of its kind on the island, provides free transportation to and from Assateague National Shoreline Beach throughout the day with scheduled stops at points around Chincoteague Island.

“The beauty of our wonderful beach is undeniable, but finding a place to park can sometimes be a chore,” says Patty Shea, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chincoteague Island.  “To remedy this, we’re working with Chincoteague Island KOA to offer complimentary rides on an air conditioned trolley that takes our guests straight to the beach.  It’s an easy, convenient, and hassle-free way for visitors to Chincoteague Island who are staying with us to spend more time enjoying the ocean without the stress of parking and then trying to find their cars.”

The trolley runs every day of the week except for Tuesday.  It departs at the top of every hour from Chincoteague Island KOA, located at 6742 Maddox Boulevard, and the schedule is as follows:

●     Monday, Wednesday, Thursday:  2pm – 8pm

●     Friday:  2pm – 10pm

●     Saturday:  8am – 10pm

●     Sunday:  8am – 4pm

After departing from Chincoteague KOA, the trolley’s stops, in order of sequence, are:

1.    Assateague National Shoreline Beach

2.    Island Creamery/Steamers Seafood Restaurant (between 6243 and 6251 Maddox Boulevard)

3.    Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott (3913 Main Street)

4.    Chincoteague Fairgrounds (6501 Davis Street, beginning at 7pm during July only)

Following its last stop, the trolley then restarts its loop at its original starting point (Chincoteague Island KOA, 6742 Maddox Boulevard).

Advance guest reservations for seats on the trolley aren’t required.  The trolley will follow the above schedule through the summer and will be in service only on the weekend once school begins in late August.  The trolley is also available for rental by the hotel’s and campground’s guests for weddings, events, business meetings, and special occasions.
