Here are a few events and festivals taking place in the coming weeks in Bath. First we have the return of the much loved Bath Bachfest. Scheduled to run from the 24 – 25 February, the special two day event celebrates the works of highly acclaimed German composer, Johann Sebastian Bach. This year’s Bachfest will feature three special concerts, showcasing a plethora of talented classical musicians at three prestigious venues.

Next is the annual ‘Independent Bath Literature Festival’, taking place in Bath city centre from March 2 – 11. ‘LitFest 2012’ has been touted as the biggest so far and will feature wide & varied events during the festival. Among the authors included are; Giles Gilbert Scott, Ian Kershaw, Stella Rimington, Hisham Matar, Claire Tomalin and Tony Parsons. Finally, those with a firm interest in antiques can visit the ‘Bath Decorative Antiques Fair’, taking place from 8 – 10 March. The colourful fair, now in its 23rd year, is a hugely popular event and brings antique traders from around the country to show the best of their wares at the Pavilion in Bath.
