London has a wider and better selection of comedy events than any other city in the UK; with countless theatre, musical comedy and stand-up shows to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice if you are looking for laughter during your stay in the capital. London is a great place to discover the new, up-and-coming talents of the comedy scene, but the evenings mentioned below come from two of the bigger names that you are likely to find hitting the city in the next few months.
One of the fastest rising stars in the UK, Sarah Millican will be entertaining what will no doubt be a packed house at the Hammersmith Apollo on the 30th and 31st March. Sarah has gone from strength to strength since winning the Best Newcomer award at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival and sold out every date on her mammoth 120 date debut tour; book now to avoid disappointment!
For a more intimate show, go along to the Southbank’s Queen Elizabeth Hall between the 2nd and 5th April and experience the brilliant cult comedy of Dave Gorman. A well established fixture on the UK stand-up scene for over a decade, the man behind the famous ‘Googlewhack Adventure’ is now gracing the capital with his new performance and a projector! Don’t miss the intriguingly-titled ‘PowerPoint Presentation’, and enjoy Gorman’s hilarious thoughts on social media, online forums and, of course, PowerPoint itself.
