Ahmed Nashaat, a loyal participant of the Taste of Brew festival, is proud to announce his support for this year’s beer event which will be held on August 20th at the Shoreline Aquatic Park or Lighthouse Park located at 200 Aquarium Way, Long Beach.
The event will benefit the Long Beach Marine Institute, a non-profit 501(C) 3 organization that seeks to acquaint local residents with the valuable resources of the Southern California Coast, and Camp Pendleton’s 1st Marine Division. Taste of Brew is Long Beach’s original and authentic craft beer festival that showcases more than 100 varieties of microbrews and hard ciders.
This year’s event will be held at an ocean-front venue in order to provide festival goers a unique backdrop and ambience to enjoy popular beer brands like Ace, Stone, and Karl Strauss. Other well-known beer brands that are expected to join the festival are Sam Adams and Firestone. Meanwhile, area breweries such as Rock Bottom, Beachwood, Belmont, El Segundo, and San Pedro are also expected to attend.
“Craft beer festivals like these are great stepping stones for startups and newer breweries in California,” Ahmed Nashaat explained. “I’m happy that startup breweries like Four Sons and Venice Duck are being given equal opportunities to showcase their craft beers.”
The popularity boom of craft beer, together with the continued success of Taste of Brew’s annual event, has lured other breweries from East Los Angeles to participate in the beer-tasting festival. Breweries from the area that are participating include Hangar 24, Wicks, Craft Brewing, and Sons of Liberty.
This year the festival will start from noon until 5PM with the alcohol service ending at 4PM. There will also be a lineup of gourmet food trucks available on-site, offering meals and snacks for purchase.
Early bird tickets are already available as the event is anticipated to sell-out online. There will be limited tickets sold on-site with higher prices.
The early bird pricing are as follows:
4-hour session (noon to 4PM) – starts at $40
3-hour session (1PM to 4PM) – starts at $30
Both packages will include beer tasting, drinking water, and snack samples until supplies last.
“I think this year’s event is going to be bigger and better than the last,” Ahmed Nashaat said. “Especially since charity proceeds will go to the Long Beach Marine Institute.”
Festival attendees must be 21 years old or above. Attendees are also advised to bring ID’s as these will be checked at the venue. Parking will be available at the Pike Parking facility for an additional fee.
