VTIP Entertainment starts GoFundMe campaign to disrupt the way films and videos are produced and distributed.
Brooklyn, NY (PRUnderground) August 10th, 2015
VTIP Entertainment has started a Gofundme campaign to help launch their website V-TIP.COM. The site’s goal is to fundamentally disrupt the way artists produce and fund their projects. The website will feature user generated content and video, music, picture and document sharing.
Like most social media websites, V-TIP will allow members to meet, greet and establish relationships (through “friending”) as well as communicate using a twitter-like profile page, and forum. Using V-TIP’s blog artists can keep their fans updated through written posts, video diaries and on location pictures.
But what sets V-TIP apart is the website’s robust toolkit for budding filmmakers. Producers can perform pre production tasks such as virtual casting, online script distribution, virtual scouting, virtual production meetings and more all from the website. Using cutting edge web technologies V-TIP.COM now opens a world of possibilities for the average filmmaker not available a decade ago.
Finally, V-TIP will be beta testing the “tip jar”, an optional crowd funding app that will let members receive small dollar donations on content uploaded to the website. Friends and fans alike can help fund members passion projects with a click of a button.
To demonstrate all this and more, VTIP Entertainment will run its own web series, via its production arm, VTIP Productions. Web series like the Brooklyn based comedy The Shop, will use all resources indicated above to produce and distribute the series exclusively on V-TIP.COM.
The work is nearing completion and has been self-financed and managed independently. But to finish the project by mid September 2015 we need your help. Those looking to support V-TIP can submit small dollar donations to https://www.gofundme.com/v-tip.
