Experts in Cloud Management, Configuration Management and Geospatial Analytics Share Collaborative Advances
Sterling, VA (PRUnderground) March 9th, 2015
Ostrato, provider of the cloudSM cloud management platform, announces its collaboration with Chef and OpenWhere on a live webinar. The webinar, to be held this Thursday, will cover practical advances in cloud management and infrastructure configuration, which allow enterprises to automate development processes and increase agility.
The webinar, entitled “Real-World Rocket Science with Chef and Ostrato,” will explore how OpenWhere, a geospatial analytics startup, is able to compete in the hyper-competitive defense marketplace. OpenWhere has achieved success through cloud computing expertise, specifically through the use of two interlocking cloud technologies – Chef for infrastructure automation and Ostrato for cloud management.
The webinar will focus on DevOps and the need for governance, orchestration, and cost control in the continuous delivery process. OpenWhere has improved operations in all of these areas by leveraging Chef and Ostrato. The use of these tools in the AWS development, test, and production environments has accelerated the design, build, deploy and test cycles while allowing users to constantly track costs and minimize cloud spend.
The complimentary webinar will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 12:00 p.m. ET/9:00 a.m. PT. Interested parties may register to attend the webinar on BrightTalk.
Presenters will be Nicolas Rycar, Automation Engineer at Chef; Andrew Heifetz, Chief Cloud Officer at OpenWhere; and Dale Wickizer, Chief Technology Officer at Ostrato. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share knowledge in the webinar’s interactive environment.
