NYC Video Production Company, Jalbert Productions Launches New Wingsuit Red Bull Video

Jalbert Productions, a New York City video production company, has released a brand-new Red Bull wingsuit video.

Recently, Red Bull approached a popular NYC video production company, Jalbert Productions International, in a bid to have them shoot their latest Red Bull video over the financial district of New York City. The company has however been working with Red Bull since 2008.
The wingsuits video posed completely new challenges for the New York City video production company in that the fliers only had one shot at getting the requested maneuver right. The NYC production company faced several logistical challenges, which included the fact that only one day was available to perform the jump and we had only a 2-hour window. Ten camera angles needed to be carefully planned, along with 15 GoPro’s that were being used to assist with the recording process.
Another challenge facing the production company was ensuring that the cameras were able to capture all of the action, especially owing to the fact that the jumpers were quite small due to the height they jumped from and they were also moving at speeds of approximately 80 MPH. Communication was crucial in that the air team had to keep in constant contact with ground personnel to ensure that all cameras were rolling at precisely the right moments.
The project required an extremely quick turnaround time. However, no members of the press were invited to watch the event or report on it in any way, as Red Bull wanted to rely solely on the video footage JPI filmed to spread their message across the globe.
All in all, the video news release (VNR) was completed in approximately four hours, the two-minute action clip within 24 hours, the GoPro POV video in 25 hours and an accompanying three minute story clip was completed in just 72 hours. In addition to the high-quality video content, the still photography team was able to receive a variety of top-notch still images of the jump from the RED Epic Dragon.
