Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) to Partner with Hunter on Production of ‘Six’, a Modernized Story about the Six Wives of Henry VIII

Podcaster Deb Hunter is a Pulitzer-nominated, USA Today best-selling author with a knack for blowing the dust off the history books and bringing the Tudors back to life. She was elected to the Royal Historical Society earlier in 2022, and is a member of the American Historical Association, and the Organization of American Historians. She has completed projects with the Dangerous Women Project for the University of Edinburgh, (Scotland), the University of Tennessee, the University of Texas, and the Royal Oak Foundation. Hunter’s fascination with the history of Tudor England dates back to her childhood.
Hunter is working with TPAC on their upcoming production of SIX, a British musical comedy that is a modern retelling of the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII presented as a pop concert. In October she was recognized by the British American Business Council of Atlanta and the Southeast. She also serves as a media partner with The Met for their recently opened exhibition, “The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England”.
Her podcast most recently broke into the Top 200 History in the US podcast charts and consistently trends in the Tudor History category. Downloaded in 70+ countries since launching earlier this year, Hunter’s All Things Tudor podcast hosted several historians behind the PBS series, “The Boleyn’s: A Scandalous Family”.
